Exeter League Update from the AGM

The first of this seasons Exeter League AGM was held on Thursday 15th September at St Thomas Cricket Club. The meeting started at 7.30pm and was well attended with representatives from all Clubs.
The main news of interest was the inclusion of all teams from both divisions paying in the League Knock Out Cup. The competition will be included in the fee for the regular League for this year as it is has been included to add some extra interest through the season. Each division will be drawn to play on a knockout basis against their own division teams. The first team drawn will be the home team and arrange to play the match on one of there club nights. The 1st round is to be player week commencing 17th October...Quarter Finals w/c 17th December....Semi Finals w/c 23rd January and the Final w/c 6th March. Winners from each division will then play against each other on a friendly basis. It was also proposed that a cup for the winners of each division could be awarded.

Christow A v Nomads B

Division 2
Silverton C v Broadclyst B
Christow B Bye
Exminster B v Exminster A
Broadclyst A v Silverton B

LEAGUE K.O CUP is a team event with players only playing for the team that they are registered with & will be played with one Triples (Two woods each over 10 ends and TWO Trial Ends will be played. The result decided by total shots for, in the event of a draw an extra end will be played. AII matches will be played on the weeks allocated on the fixture list. There will be NO CANCELLING or RE-ARRANGING of these matches.

Entries for the Win Graham Shield close on 1st November.

WIN GRAHAM SHELD (6's) is a club competition. Only One Team can be entered from the Club and any eligible members may be played as long as they are Registered at the start of the season. Each match will consist of One Team of Triples, (Two woods each) One Team of pairs, (Two woods each and One Singles player (Four woods each). It will be played on an Home & Away basis over 10 ends for each discipline starting with the Home teams jack first. The Winners will be the team with the Highest shots for over the Two legs. If a draw after the Home and Away matches the Triples to play an extra end to decide Winners.
