Devon County Trials Report

Today (Sunday 30th July) 16 players attended the Devon County Trials at ISCA. Amongst the 16 there were 5 players from Christow, Ava, Brad, Ian, Ralph & Sean. After a series of bowling exercises on which the players were marked and a  combination maches in the format of triples and fours, the County Managers were so impressed they invited all the players to the County Selection day on 13th August. Well done to all and good luck for the 13th.

Silverton Triples Reminder

There are two places reserved for Silverton's Triples competition on Saturday 17th March. The places are only held until 26th August. If you would like to play please be quick and grab a form from the clipboard or let Neil know and he will contact Danny to reserve your place. Bishopsteignton Friendly Report

On Sunday 23rd July 14 bowlers from Christow travelled to Bishopsteignton S.M.B.C to join them for an evening of bowls. They are able to fit 2 mats in their village hall. There were 24 players in total so we played 2 triples matches of mixed teams from both clubs before tea and cake, followed by the remaining 2 matches, again drawn at random. Thank you very much to Bishopsteignton for an enjoyable evening and making us all very welcome. See you soon at Christow.

No Bowls on Wednesday 12th July

Due to the hall being booked for a school function there will be no bowls this Wednesday. See you all next week.

Exeter League Format Request

This season we have 11 teams entered into the League. Do you wish it to be One Division with matches going on until April 8th approx., or Two divisions One with 6 teams and the other with 5 teams and each team playing the other teams Twice at Home & Twice away. Bishopsteignton Friendly

The friendly match with Bishopsteignton has been arranged for Sunday 23rd July. They like to start playing by 6.45pm and the least cars we arrive in the better due to lack of parking. Everyone is welcome.
