It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Edwin Cleave, a long standing member of Christow SMBC.
Edwin leaves a very big space on our club nights, but still fills our hearts with fond memories.
Our condolences go out to Edwin's friends and family.
Edwin's funeral is to be held at 11am on December 30th at Christow church.
Rest in peace, Edwin.

The venue for the Christow Christmas Dinner has changed!
The plan is now to get together at the Teign House Inn. The date remains unchanged.

There will be much merriment and all-round good fun on December 21st when Christow SMBC will hold its Christmas Club Night.
Trevor, who is Head Elf, has asked that any attendees on the evening contribute some food to help with the buffet! No alcohol please...... and no mistletoe!!
Please let the head elf know what you intend on contributing to avoid us being overloaded with sausage rolls!
Mat fees are waived for the evening and the head elf will no doubt have some inventive games in mind...... all based around short mat bowls!
The fun kicks off at 7pm, as usual, so please be there from 6:30pm to help set up the short mat grotto!

It was a pleasure to finally see Buckland taking part in league matches.
Christow picked up another 10 points and came out well on top when they welcomed Buckland to the hall last night.
It was a clean sweep for Christow in all 4 games.
Before tea, the theme for the evening was set with a 15-5 win on mat 1 and a 12-5 win on mat 2.
After tea Christow strengthened their position winning 19-6 on mat 1 and 20-6 on mat 2

Christow picked up 8 valuable points and came out well on top against Buckfastleigh last night in their first home Teignbridge League fixture for 3 years.
Despite losing a close game 10-12 in the first session on mat 1 it was Christow who dominated the evening. Mat 2 saw Christow win in comfortable style 24-2
It was a clean sweep after tea with Christow winning 16-5 on mat 1 and 16-4 on mat 2
