Ideford Away Match Report

Yesterday evening 12 players and 4 very welcome supporters travelled to Ideford for our 6th match in this seasons Teignbridge League. Before the half time tea break, Carol, Ian & Tom played on mat 1 (by the door). The game was very close all the way through and a challenge for both teams due to the speed and unpredictable behaviour of the mat. Playing on Mat 2 were Mark, Brad & Jim. Their game was also a very close until they scored 4 shots close to the end when Jim trailed the jack away from Ideford. After tea Mary, Geoff & Neil had another close match on mat 1 and after watching Tom's team earlier had picked up a few tips on how to play the mat and won the match again in the final few ends. Edwin, Sean & Trevor did not disappoint on mat 2 and played a very competitive game and followed in the tradition of the evening by keeping the score tight until the later stages of the game.
